Ingredients:
105g rice flour , mixed with 75ml water , kneaded to get wet rice flour
90g sago flour
210g sugar , mixed with 900ml coconut milk (1 coconut) , stirred to dissolved
1/4 tsp rose essence and salt
few drops of red colouring
Methods:
- Put wet rice flour , sago flour into a mixing bowl , slowly add coconut milk and stir to form thin batter . Strain .
- Add rose essence and salt and divide into 2 parts . Add red colouring in 1 part to make it pink . Leave the other part white .
- Heat up a 20cm round steaming tray , pour 1 thin layer of white of white mixture into the steaming tray and steam for 5 minutes until cooked . Pour 1 layer of pink mixture on top of the white layer and steam for 5 minutes .
- Repeat until the last layer , add some more red colouring to make batter bright red , so that the last layer on top is attractive.
- Steam with high heat for 10 minutes until cooked . Remove , leave to cool completely before cutting into pieces .
